Book review: Stranger on a train

Guy is a architect who trying to devorce with his wife. They lived seperately for three years, they don't love each other anymore, but she didn't want to get devorce -- because she had other person's baby. Guy had a girlfriend, due to the fact that his wife didn't want to get devorce, he couldn't marry with his girlfriend. He hates his wife.

At a chance, he met a stranger on train  who is named Bruno -- a drunk. Bruno planned a perfect murder, he murder Guy's wife, and Guy murder his father, police will not find any clue or evidence to catch them.

Bruno killed Guy's wife after two weeks later, even though Guy doesn't want to do that, after the murder, Bruno contacted with Guy and told him kill his father in a hurry, otherwise, he will told cops that Guy paid money to him for killing his wife. Guy afraided that he would lost everythin he had -- job and lover, so he killed Bruno's father.

After Guy murdered Bruno's father, he felt guilty, he seems have a bad Guy in his body, under his lying face. He suffered from treating his lover. Until the day-- a windy day, Bruno sailed to the sea with them, he still durnk, a big wave hit him that he felt to the sea. Guy tried to save his life but failed.

After Bruno dead, Guy couldn't tolerate keep that secret along, he decided to surrender himself to the police.

Book review: The Client

It a story about an unusual suicide. a lawyer who work  with Mafia, he killed himself. Mark, a little boy, hidden on the grass, saw everything and talked with him before he suicide. the lawyer told him the reason why he do that -- his client, a Mafia killed a senator and hid his body on his house.

He know he would be danger if he talk cop everything he know, those Mafia will find him and kill him. He found a good lawyer to help him protect his right, on the right time to talk everything.

Last Saturday, I was occupied with a english exam. In honest, I was not good  in that.

I hesitated for a while when I decided to apply that test, lots of think in my mind...Would I pass the test? Do I have time to practice? In the end, I plucked up my mind to apply.

I tired to practice on a daily basis, obviously, I failed. When the final day came in, I happened to finish 1/3 in my all exercise books. Only ONE THIRD!

Whtatever, I just plurk up my courage. whether it will pass or not, I tried. " The different between rich man and poor man, poor man concentrate on risk, rich man know that risk, but keep trying!

Feeling: Regarding Conversation

It just happened in this morning.
This morning, as usual, somebody came in my officer to take out their stuff. The only different was -- we talk, not mardarin, but english.


He studied abroad before. He tried to talk english with other people who english is well, he said that he saw me did english practice, read english newspaper, but he never heard me spoke english.


In his department, one lady who is hard-wroking on english. He tried to liaison with her by english, but she always reply by mandarin. That's weird!! She could reply his answer, it means she totally understand his question,

WHY DOES SHE NOT USE ENGLISH?

I think, in Taiwan, someone may feel that speak english on here is a kind of show off. It may be. may be not. But one thing I am sure -- If you don't use language, you'll lose it eventually.

Book review: The Time Machine

The time traveller invented  the time machine, and went to time travelling to the future. He went to 802701 AD (Original: Eight Hundred and Two Thousand Seven Hundred and One AD). In the time on earth, only exist two human-like animals -- Eloi and Morlock. 


Eloi are weak, tiny, happily, living on the ground and eating fruit. Morlock are totally different from Eloi, they strong, powerful, evil, living under ground (e.g. cave), and they eating meat -- Eloi's body.


When the time traveller arrived future, he was invited to play with Eloi, when he exploring this new world, he found his time machine disappeared! That made him to  search some cave and well. That is the reason how he found Morlock.


Exactly, Morlocks  stole his time machine, and hid behind a bronze gate, he use his weapon -- matches to against Morlock. he failed and lost his only one friend -- Weena. 


At last, he find his machine, travelling back to present. But he could not give up his only friend, so he decided to travelled back, and never retune again.


Actually, I do not really understand, why he didn't use torch? It is easier way to resist Morlock!

In this story, all creature were extinct, except Eloi and Morlock. I think it may be truth! What if we does not stop polluting environment,  what if nuclear war break (like the story "on the beach", all people died in the end.). I think it is really possible to happen...

Book review: 出走澳洲，不只是打工度假

I borrowed this book from my friend, that is a charming title, isn't it?


After I read that, I feel that he did not have enough courage to try everything. But he share a lot of his experience, the most important thing is their view -- the different view after they got there.


It mention about the confuse of their reason to go Australia in one chapter. They went there for seeing different world, and spent a part of time doing job to support their finacial on living and traveling. Some guys may mix up the orginal intention, they just work all the time on there instead of enjoy their trip. 


I think, it may have same problem at some students who has part-time job to maintain their studying. Due to the fact that it is really tired studying with a job, they may be tired after work, the may take break instead of study, even not go to class!


Now I am trying to find the balance between workink and studying, that hardest part is keeping studying..... Oh...that's a big challange!

Book review: On the beach

Nuclear war has destoryed all life in the northen world, the last people still lived in Australia. Some of them tried to live as normally as possible as before the neclear war broke.

 Be honestly, I didn't really understand what happened in this story at first, even bored. But it totally change my feel when they went to northen countries, trying to find some life activities with hope. They didn't find any person or animal alive, somebody was in despair and waited for dying day, another could not accept that cruel truth and tried live normally. one character -- Mary, before she died, she still thinking about her garden need a beautiful chair, that makes me feel rediculous.  

At last, I really like this paragraph ,excerpt from Ch.5 : "Women could help a man a lot sometimes, if they were brave. But while they lived in their dream world, they were like a heavy stone around a man's neck."

Book review: Oliver Twist

Oliver Twist is a orphan who grow up at workhouse in London. Due to the fact that he cannot get enough food to eat every meal, and get a lot of irrational treat on there, he decide to run away.

After he ran away, he met thievs, those thives told him to do something bad, but he doesn't want to do that.

until one day, a old gentleman, who know Oliver is the grandson of his old friend's. At last, the old gentleman help him leave those thievs.
